Collins Corp Ltd (CCL) was formed by Nick and Lindy Collins in 2006 for the sole purpose of providing quality safety products and sound safety solutions to people working at height.

Nick is generally known as the `ANCHOR MAN` after winning the award for best Design or Technology Initiative at the New Zealand Workplace Health & Safety Awards 2007. This award is in recognition of the strengthening design of timber trusses to withstand loads 15kN or 1.5ton which is set out in the AU/NZS 1891.4.2009 covering anchor points. This design has also been given the thumbs up by one of New Zealand`s leading timber truss designers `Mitek NZ`.

Nick has gained the knowledge to design quality products over the years from working in both the construction industry and the family engineering business . Nick worked in the construction industry for over 35 years, and in that time he has been engaged in many rolls on construction sites, from Safety Supervisor to Site Forman, Crane Operator, Digger Operator and finally Contractor. This encompasses: Roofing , Steel Erecting, Building and Earth Works.

At the 2008 New Zealand Workplace Health & Safety Awards, CCL was one of only 3 finalists out of many entrants, for Best Leadership of an Industry Sector or Region. This award was sponsored by ACC.

Nick designed the `SAFETOR` (Safety Anchor For Every Type Of Roof) range of roof anchors in 1997 and sold them through one of New Zealand`s leading safety companies. Reports came back to Nick that some anchors were being installed incorrectly and had to be condemned due to the way they were attached to the structures. CCL acted quickly and removed the entire Safetor range of anchors from sale to the general public. They now only sells the Safetor range through approved agents who install the anchors themselves. All Nicks agents have a thorough knowledge of the construction industry.
